Environmental & Energy Management Institute
The EEMI has achieved notable success in assembling a blue-ribbon group of individuals to serve on the EEMI Advisory Board. These individuals include a former Chairman of the U.S. Council on Environmental Quality, three former Assistant Administrators and one former acting Administrator of the US EPA, a former Director of the OMB Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, and a number of additional bipartisan public service, private sector, and nongovernmental organizational luminaries.
The EEMI is directed by Executive Director Dr. Jonathan Deason and Deputy Director Joe Cascio, esq. Prof. Deason is a former Director of the Office of Environmental Policy Compliance at the U.S. Department of the Interior, former Chief of Staff (Reserve) of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and also serves as the Lead Professor for the Environmental and Energy Management Program in the Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management, School of Engineering and Applied Science. Prof. Cascio is a former White House Federal Environmental Executive and long-term Chairman of the U.S. delegation to the ISO 14000 development process, as well as a former senior environmental official with IBM and Booz Allen Hamilton.
Many national and international graduates of the Environmental and Energy Management Program have achieved marked success in distinguished positions of responsibility in both the private and public domains.
